Pay claims could be made against your employer in many situations and are often led by trade unions.

All workers have rights to certain levels of pay, reward and remuneration for their efforts and if employers fall short of meeting them they could be held to account by making a pay claim.

It could be that equal pay is not being given for jobs of the same value, tips or service charges are not being handled correctly in order to dodge National Insurance or tax payments, or National Minimum Wage requirements are not being met.

Pay Compensation

Pay compensation can be awarded if it is shown that your employer was treating you unfairly or illegally regarding your wages.

The assessment will look closely at your employment contract and the terms and conditions within and may also take into account the pay of people in the same jobs at the same company.

You could be entitled to back-pay and interest on lost earnings.
